While most traditional wedding invitations and stationary feature more muted colors, Day of the Dead-themed paper goods show off the bright colors that help make the holiday, ahem, stand out. These two pieces use the fun color palette and utilize the imagery of sugar skulls, vibrant floral pieces, and papel picado or “perforated paper.”

If you don’t want to wear a traditional gown for your Dia de los Muertos wedding, consider a vintage wedding dress. The bride in the top photo is totally inspired by Frida Kahlo and we love it. Very folk-y. However, if you’d like to go the classic bridal gown route for your big day, your bridesmaids can always follow the theme! In the bottom photo, these ladies all have different dresses featuring floral prints and bold colors.

  • Thinking of something a little more literal? While you might not care to walk down the aisle in this number, our Sugar Skull Costume dress would be perfect for “save the date” photos or a themed bachelorette party.

Eye-catching desserts and their presentation will be a great exclamation point to your Day of the Dead wedding. And who doesn’t want freshly fried churros straight from the oil? We do. We want it now.

Last, but not least – decorating! Our favorite is this handmade papel picado banner (DIY instructions here!), but, really, everything is pretty sweet. Between etched his-and-her champagne flutes, photobooths filled with sombreros and skull masks, and wedding favorites galore, your wedding definitely will be the one people talk about for years. Well, yours and that wedding where grandma let loose on the dance floor.

Enjoy! We hope these ideas inspired you for your planning. For a more Halloween-y take on Dia de los Muertos costumes and accessories, our blog post full of Day of the Dead costume ideas is right here.
